  • Overview

    The Product Manager will be responsible for improving the conversion of our onboarding process and growing the usefulness of our property owner portal. This individual will need the ability to work with engineering, design, business intelligence, marketing, operations, IT support, and legal to improve the end to end property owner experience at Ygrene.

    Responsibilities

    Product Strategy & Assessment (60%)

    • Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
    • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes
    • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products
    • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
    • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans
    • Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing
    • Set product strategy based on user research and data
    • Work with engineering, design, business intelligence, marketing, operations, support, legal to improve the end to end property owner experience at Ygrene
    • Present strategies and results to the executive level

    Technical Requirements (30%)

    • Write technical requirements for engineering
    • Provide product guidance for engineering and design
    • Validate hypothesis and iteratively improve our tools with A/B/n testing

     

    Other Duties: (10%)

    • Perform special projects and research as assigned
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Partner with engineers and designers to ideate, prioritize and deliver great solutions
    • Define and analyze key metrics to inform decision-making and measure success
    • Conduct user research and lightweight tests to scope and prioritize product initiatives
    • Coordinate within your team and among teams at Ygrene to ensure understanding of and alignment around projects
    • Wear many hats and be key organizational glue

     

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience in a Product Management role for web-based consumer Internet products
    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Ability to use data, your experience and product instincts to identify most impactful areas of focus
    • Strong analytical abilities, and considerable experience with Excel and other analytics tools
    • Extraordinary problem solving and communication skills
    • Strong project management skills, and willingness/ability to own key parts of the product, end-to-end
    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Technical aptitude - through education or experience, it's important that you can work closely with engineers to evaluate different approaches to implementing product features, weighing cost/benefit tradeoffs

     

    Nice to have:

    • Experience working with FinTech products
    • Experience formulating/running/analyzing A/B tests
    • Experience with analytics tools - Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, etc.
    • Experience writing SQL queries

     

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

    • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets
    • Work environment is indoors with majority of time spent sitting at a desk
    • Ability to stand, ben, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
    • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator

     

    Position Type, Expected Hours of Work, and Travel:

    • This is a full-time position
    • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required from time to time
    • No travel is expected for this position
