  • Overview

    The Content Strategist plays an important role on the Consumer Engagement team.  Responsible for overall content planning, roadmap and development across social media, web and email marketing.  Driven by a desire to drive organic traffic to the website and increase brand engagement. Works closely with brand compliance, web development SEO partners to innovate new and creative ideas.


    Digital content strategy, planning and execution (60%)

    • Drive web content strategies and development; This includes development of new content pages on the website in support of SEO goal, optimizing existing content and responsibility for management of timely and relevant updates to the blog
    • Lead the advancement of content nurturing for potential customers with triggered email communications that recognize where the customer is in their journey and convert them to the next stage  
    • Lead organic social media management and constantly test new content ideas, formats and types to increase engagement and conversion. Partner closely with media lead on paid social strategies
    • Lead agency and internal partners in developing SEO strategies, including but not limited to programs that lead to improve rankings on Google such as linking, partnerships and localized content opportunities
    • Understand the customer and use customer insights to develop targeted and segmented messaging to engage and convert customers. Use those insights to develop a proactive content calendar that is cross-channel.  Manage the timely execution of that content calendar
    • Take lead in execution of content calendar tactics, in partnership with agency partners
    • Define the value proposition and positioning of programs, as well as write the supporting copy when required

    Project Management Initiatives (30%)

    • Development of a ‘resource center’ and content approaches on ygrene.com
    • Developing a gated-content strategy
    • Development of KPIs, managing and tracking to content performance for constant improvements and learnings
    • Guide team to high quality and on-time deliverables

    Other Duties: (10%)

    • Perform special projects and research as assigned
    • Perform other duties as assigned



    • 5+ years of experience in marketing required
    • BA/BS degree and/or equivalent work experience required
    • Experience working with a content management system
    • Salesforce experience
    • Passion for a superior customer experience
    • Effectively multi-task and generate actionable recommendations
    • Creative and conceptual ability in developing breakthrough campaigns
    • Excellent interpersonal & team skills, with ability to lead, collaborate and influence internal partners
    • Experience building custom content programs with media partners an added value
