    Ygrene is seeking a Deal Desk Sales Associate to support the company’s Solar Sales and Installation teams for residential projects across California.  Deal Desk Sales will be responsible for taking calls, creating leads, working with them directly to design and solar systems on their homes.  This will be an “over the phone” and “using the computer” position, where technology is leveraged to get property owners into a solar lease without an in-home meeting.  They are also responsible for customer retention.  Their #1 goal is to provide each property owner with a memorable and satisfying experience.  The ideal candidate will have a history of success in solar sales with ability to sell over the phone leveraging industry leading software tools. 

    The role is located in San Diego, California, with no anticipated travel other than annual training. 


    • Sell solar to residential property owners over the phone using design and proposal tool software.
    • Must meet goals will be set on origination volume, close rate and time to close.
    • Experience and proficiency using PV system sales and estimation tools highly desired (Sighten a plus)
    • Review and approve site survey results, design/permit documentation and installation quotes to determine suitability for PV installation
    • Proactively assist Sales, Operations and Contractors to overcome process and documentation roadblocks





    • 3 years in Residential Solar Sales (phone sales a plus)
    • Significant experience with residential PV design, estimation and proposal tools highly desired, but experience with other tools like AutoCAD acceptable showing ability to learn this type software


    Additional Qualifications


    • 3 years selling direct to residential consumer required; selling over the phone a big plus
    • Sound proficiency with personal computer use, including Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Proficiency with use of share screen software such as GoToMeeting
    • History of demonstrating sound judgment and decision making
    • Complex problem solving abilities
    • Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively and clearly in a professional work environment
    • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
    • Strong business acumen and proven ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team
    • Ability to understand financial concepts and customer value proposition
    • Ability to define issues, analyze problems, evaluate alternatives and develop sound conclusions
    • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities
