    Ygrene is seeking a Solar Project Execution Manager to support the company’s launch of a financing product by ensuring the seamless delivery of solar projects to homeowners sold and financing by Ygrene and installed by local installation partners, with primary focus in California.  The ideal candidate will have a history of success in residential solar PV operations and management.  The right candidate will combine these skillsets to implement Ygrene’s operational processes

    The Solar Project Execution Manager will work with members of Ygrene’s solar team to:  select appropriate local installation partners, negotiation terms and conditions of installation, oversee delivery of contracted projects, ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, and identify opportunities for improvement. 

    The role is located in San Diego, California, with travel throughout California to meet with contractors and stakeholders as necessary.  Travel is anticipated to be 20-40 business days a year.


    Primary functions:

    • Build, maintain, and ensure Ygrene and installation partners adherence to installation partnership agreements. 30%
    • Ensure delivery of projects on time and on budget and customer communication of progress. 40%
    • Establish, track, and report performance metrics and identify and implement strategies for improvement. 30%


    • Balance the satisfaction of the customers and the profitability of the projects for the benefit of the company
    • Ensure full compliance of installation partners to the installation partnership agreements, including but not limited to:
      • Timely payment of investor returns
      • Timely creation and delivery of financial and performance reporting
      • Ad-hoc reporting of unplanned / non-standard events, such as:
        • Warranty claims
        • Insurance claims
        • Underperformance
      • Lead and/or support tasking to identify and onboard new installation partners
      • Underwriting criteria
      • Insurance requirements 
    • Project Management
    • Contract Management


    • 5 - 7+ years solar photovoltaic installation operations
    • 3+ years residential solar PV asset management
    • Sound proficiency with personal computer use, including Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project)
    • History of demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making ability
    • Complex problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively and clearly in a professional work environment
    • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
    • Strong business acumen and proven ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team
    • Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Ability to define issues, analyze problems, evaluate alternatives and develop sound conclusions
    • Ability to maintain long-term relationships with partners, including while managing issues.
