    Ygrene is seeking a Sr. Manager, YgreneSun Deal Desk to support the company’s YgreneSun Origination and Operations teams for residential and commercial projects across California.  The Sr. Manager, YgreneSun Deal Desk will be responsible for improving design/build accuracy, increasing solar lease throughout, reducing cancellations and assisting the Sales and Installation teams provide a great customer experience. He/She will help the Sales and Installation teams with a broad range of solar lease inquiries including PV system design, shading, site suitability, installation methods, contract terms, and sales/installation process.  The ideal candidate will have a history of success in designing, implementing and scaling a solar deal desk function (residential is preferred) in a fast-paced, changing, high-growth environment.  Someone who can lead teams and influence cross-functional leaders to effectively execute on strategy.

    The role is located in San Diego, California, ith anticipated travel of 10-20 business days a year throughout the California as necessary. 

    Responsibilities

    • Lead deal desk team in selling solar to residential property owners over the phone, including training.
    • Responsible for setting and meeting origination volume for the Deal Desk team and keeping track of key performance indicators, such as close rate, for each member.
    • Subject matter expert in PV system sales estimation using Sighten tool
    • Coordinate with training teams to reinforce training concepts with RAMs, OPS and Contractors
    • Review and approve site survey results, design/permit documentation and installation quotes to determine suitability for PV installation in the context of solar leasing
    • Periodically review installation issues with the Installation team and implement changes to eliminate design-related issues
    • Proactively assist Sales, Operations and Contractors to overcome process and documentation roadblocks

     

     

    Qualifications

    • 3 years in Residential Solar Sales and 1 year Operations OR Sales and Residential Construction (or roofing design)
    • Prior experience in designing, implementing and scaling a solar deal desk function (Residential is preferred) highly desirable
    • Expert level experience with residential PV design tools highly desired, but experience with other tools like AutoCAD acceptable showing ability to learn this type software

    Additional Qualifications

    • 5 years selling direct to residential consumer required; selling over the phone a big plus
    • Sound proficiency with personal computer use, including Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Proficiency with use of share screen software such as GoToMeeting
    • History of demonstrating sound judgment and decision making
    • Complex problem solving abilities
    • Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively and clearly in a professional work environment
    • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
    • Strong business acumen and proven ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team
    • Ability to understand financial concepts, models and the potential impact of sales/operations on investments and financial results
    • Ability to define issues, analyze problems, evaluate alternatives and develop sound conclusions
    • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities
