  • Overview

    The Manager, Marketing Communications role will support the vision, strategy, and plan to further customer engagement and Brand affinity. Responsible for creating brand aligned content to support Brand awareness, feature and product launches, and GTM plans with a focus on direct response.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Works with direct response, brand, sales and other partners to support the execution of strategy for specific channels, products and markets targeting all audiences
    • Creates content for all digital marketing platforms, including, but not limited to; Display, Email, and Mobile, and can effectively create content for all platforms
    • Supports effective A / B and multivariate testing across direct marketing platforms
    • Creates content that supports GTM strategy with end-to-end thinking across the eco-system, channels and touch points
    • Creates content to support lead generation and customer engagement strategy, utilizing customer segmentation, value proposition/messaging, multi-channel optimization (e.g., digital, direct mail), and sales conversion/customer communication strategy
    • Drives results by leveraging influencing abilities across teams for which they do not have direct management responsibility
    • Seeks out and adopts learning and standard practices, with a test-and-learn mindset.

    Responsibility Breakdown:

    • Direct Marketing: 50%
    • Brand Awareness 30%
    • Internal Communications: 10%
    • Other Duties as Assigned: 10%

    Qualifications

    Key Qualifications:

    • Proven track record creating content across all on-line and off-line platforms
    • Experience effectively using segmentation and targeting to optimize messaging for the right channel, target and business goal (acquisition, cross-sell, retention)
    • Expertise in creating content to support Brand awareness and product
    • Deep understanding of end-to-end metrics from awareness to sale in relevant channels
    • Use of analytical, hypothesis-driven thinking in content creation

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, SalesForce preferred.
    • In-depth knowledge of direct response (e-mail, direct mail, etc..) and Brand content creation best practices
    • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms, Marketing Cloud preferred.
    • Experience working successfully cross-functionally.
    • Demonstrated skills for accountability, responsibility, and the initiative and desire to create best in class content that drives measurable performance results while meeting budget and timeline requirements.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
    • Passion to try new things and accept change, with a drive for continuous improvement and efficiency.

    • None

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field; or equivalent experience
    • 3+ years of direct response marketing experience including a successful track record of creating content for digital channels

     

    Telecommuting within San Francisco Bay Area possible, with in-office 2-3 days per week possible.
