  • Overview

    The Commercial Regional Manager (CRM) have both their own pipeline of business and be capable of managing a regional team of Commercial Account Managers (CAM).  The CRM (and his/her team) will develop and close a robust pipeline of Commercial C-PACE projects utilizing both direct sales and channel partner relationships in the assigned regional market.  The candidate will be tasked with managing a team and pipeline of deals to successful closings while building close working relationships with channel partners and property owners.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    • Leadership and ability to manage a sales team
    • Master Ygrene’s C-PACE product offering, process and procedures.
    • Engage new/existing channel partners, train them on advantages of our C-PACE financing products, help guide their project development efforts
    • Engage new/existing clients and channel partners to identify qualified sales opportunities for Ygrene Works C-PACE financing
    • Maintain a close working relationship with channel partners that will lead to repeat business
    • Become expert at the value proposition for each commercial project type available in their market.
    • Develop a pipeline of C-PACE transactions by leveraging these relationships to meet or exceed target goals
    • Manage deal flow through all stages of the transaction pipeline
    • Work closely with the operations team to collect all relevant project documents and maintain close relationship with clients to ensure smooth project delivery
    • Maintain accurate and timely information related to project and relationship level data in CRM system
    • Preserve a high level of personal and professional integrity that reflects well on Ygrene’s established position as the leader in the growing C-PACE market
    • Retain a positive working relationship with his/her team members and Ygrene staff
    • Positive outlook, never give up, can do attitude

    Category I: 60% of time spent

    • Forward looking (new project development) activities
    • In field meeting property owners, property management companies, contractors and other project influencers
    • On phone and computer working through deals to facilitate Ygrene financing of commercial projects

    Category II: 30% of time spent

    • Administrative work to ensure existing projects close
    • Capturing activities in SalesForce or other CRM as required by corporate

    Other Duties as Assigned: 10%

    • Political and policy outreach as assigned by Ygrene
    • Conventions, conferences, association meetings, etc.

     

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    Assigned CAMs working in their region

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of PACE financing and other traditional financing structures
    • Experience using value proposition tools such as Energy Toolbase
    • Ability to explain value proposition to property owners, property managers, developers, contractors and others
    • Ability to negotiate referral agreements and other financial transactions
    • Ability to compare multiple financial offerings to highlight distinctions and advantages to PACE
    • Ability to develop multiple simultaneous projects from channel partners or from the ground up
    • Ability to persistently and effectively research, contact and engage warm and cold sales leads.
    • Proven ability to interact with C-Suite
    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
    • Ability to travel within assigned territory
    • Outgoing personality with strong leadership skills

    Certifications and/or Licenses:  None

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in outside sales with a proven record of successfully developing and closing commercial deals
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the fields of commercial real estate, finance, energy efficiency or solar sales
    • 2+ years of experience working with commercial solar distributors, integrators, value added resellers and manufacturers
    • Experience in Salesforce and Microsoft Office

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

    • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, scanners, and cell phone
    • Work environment is both indoors and outdoors with significant driving between meetings
    • Ability to stand, ben, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
    • Ability to use a computer keyboard, calculator, spreadsheets and financial analysis tools such as EnergyToolbase

     

    Position Type, Expected Hours of Work, and Travel:

    • This is a full-time position.
    • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
    • Significant regional travel is required of this position (up to 50%).
