The primary focus of the Ruby Developer will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.  


  • Design and build scalable enterprise back-end systems that creates Ygrene’s business
  • Write high quality, tested, and documented Ruby code
  • Work as part of a close-knit team of highly skilled developers
  • Address problem statement and recommend, design and create solutions
  • Conduct end user testing and work with QA to fix system issues
  • Support deployment in production


  • At least 4 years of software engineering experience
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with an object oriented language like Java, Scala, C#, or Python
  • Experience with a relational database system
  • Previous experience with unit testing frameworks
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and problem solving.
  • Good communication skills with both technical and business people
  • Strong web service architecture and design skills



  • Experience with DevOps and Agile processes
  • Experience with AWS products like EC2, S3, and RDS
