    Ygrene is seeking a Public Relations Manager to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs. They will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication programs that enhance the company’s reputation with internal / external stakeholders and help drive the company’s business objectives.  This role will manage the Brand PR program for Ygrene.

     

    The person in this role should be able to field media questions, pitch stories to the media, prepare media kits and organize press conferences. In addition to writing press releases, they will write speeches for organizational leaders, prepare articles for corporate newsletter, as well as handle crisis and emergency communications. This candidate will be extremely flexible and enjoy a “high-change” environment where priorities shift from day to day. We want someone who's driven to make great work and who’ll take the risks to get there.

    Responsibilities

    • Managing an outside PR agency and government relations agency
    • Drive PR strategic direction, plan annual results-driven PR campaigns on a national level across different markets with an outside PR agency
    • Create and maintain a favorable public image for Ygrene by communicating programs, accomplishments and brand messaging/points of view to the necessary channels
    • Support media training by business area
    • Build relationships with industry leaders and influencers to grow brand awareness
    • Develop media relations strategy in print, broadcast and online media
    • Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
    • Prepare and implement a PR budget, consistent with the overall strategic plan of Ygrene’s PR goals
    • Develop and prepare content for corporate newsletter
    • Handle crisis and emergency communications
    • Coordinate senior management media engagement
    • Manage the production and implementation of thought leadership abstracts
    • Solicit appropriate industry award opportunities
    • Event management; press conferences, channel focused events

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • At least five years of public relations and/or media relations experience
    • Have the ability to turn insights into strategic communications plans
    • Experience reporting communication metrics
    • Excellent organizational skills; ability to successfully prioritize multiple demands and meet deadlines under pressure
    • Possess excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver multiple projects on time and on budget
    • Comfortable working with cross functional teams to support responsibilities
    • Integrated marketing and outside agency management experience.
