The Customer Legal Intake Specialist will work closely and pro-actively with the Legal Team to analyze and resolve escalated homeowner complaints and attend to litigation matters.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze transaction history in response to homeowner complaints, litigation claims and/or regulatory inquiries.
  • Communicate with Contractors, Sales Team and/or Property Owners (PO) to obtain all necessary information as required or directed by supervisor to fully assess matters escalated to the Legal Team. 
  • Collect complaint data to assist Legal and Compliance in identifying potential control deficiencies and possible corrective action.
  • Work with supervisor and/or proper personnel to support Legal responses to PO complaints and litigation matters. 
  • Communicate with POs to ensure proper customer service and resolution plans where applicable.
  • Support and assist with any compliance related investigations and/or audits.
  • Assist in providing information towards development and implementation of department policy and procedure documents and forms.
  • Act as a resource for public/governmental relations inquiries, operations executives and/or other management in assessment and resolution of disputed claims.
  • Work with Legal to handle any questions, troubleshoot projects or assist in suggestions for and implementations of process changes. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in banking, mortgage banking, or consumer finance industry - commercial and/or compliance experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of call center practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of loan processing, underwriting, funding, lending, and/or marketing practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of construction and/or real estate industry, preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PDF Conversions and generally good computing skills
  • Ability to independently manage daily tasks and short-term projects.
  • Highly organized and attention to detail is a must with strong analytical skills. 
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
